When is the 2024 General Election?

• Election day for the 2024 General Election is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Registered voters can vote-by-mail, vote during early voting, or vote at the polls on Election Day. Visit Voting for information about voting options in Florida.

Who can vote in the General Election?

• All eligible registered voters, regardless of party affiliation or no party affiliation, may exercise their right to vote for federal, state and local races, judicial retentions, statewide proposed constitutional amendments and local referendums on the General Election ballot.

Is a photo ID required at the polls?

• A current and valid photo ID with signature is required to vote during early voting or on Election Day. Florida law allows 12 different forms of photo IDs including Florida driver license or Florida ID card, or a U.S. passport. See section 101.043, Florida Statutes, for the complete list.
• If your photo ID does not include your signature, you will be asked to provide another ID that has your signature. If you do not bring proper ID, you can still vote a provisional ballot. As long as you are eligible and voted in the proper precinct, your provisional ballot will count, provided the signature on your provisional ballot matches the signature in your registration record.

What does voter turnout mean?

• Voter turnout refers to the percentage of eligible registered voters who cast a ballot in the election. Book Closing Reports show the total number of active registered voters as of the registration deadline of October 7, 2024, at the time the reports were generated.
